Stephanie is a registered clinical psychologist who has worked in the public and private sectors, offering assessment and counselling to individuals across the lifespan. She is registered to provide psychological services under Medicare, private health insurance, TAC, Workcover, EAP, and Victims of Crime. She has facilitated skills based groups including assertiveness training and social anxiety group.
Stephanie’s therapeutic approach is tailored toward each individual client. She is mindful at treating each person as a unique individual and adopts a person-centred and recovery-oriented approach to foster a safe therapeutic space to respectfully and meaningfully explore and understand client’s personal issues. She works collaboratively with individuals to assist them to establish therapeutic goals, gain insight, and generate strategies that may improve their quality of life and in turn, relieve the level of distress. She takes on an eclectic approach to therapy and uses a variety of approaches including CBT, ACT, Schema Therapy, and ISTDP. She draws upon each component as she aims to provide the best evidence based treatments for her client’s needs.
Souher is a Registered Clinical Psychologist, who completed her degree at La Trobe University. She has experience in public, community, and private mental health sectors, working with low and high prevalent mental health conditions including Depression, Anxiety, and Trauma. Souher uses an eclectic treatment approach drawing from therapies including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy and Schema Therapy. Souher values developing a good working relationship with clients in order to work collaboratively with them through difficult and challenging times. She aims to assist clients to take on a clearer perspective of their presenting challenges and assists them to develop helpful ways of coping. Souher also conducts assessment and delivers therapy in Arabic if necessary.
Maya Obucina is a registered Counselling psychologist who has completed a Master of Counselling Psychology at La Trobe University. Maya has worked with clients of all ages including children, adolescents and adults. Maya’s main approaches include CBT, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy and Motivational Interviewing but is a strong believer in tailoring the right therapeutic approach according to the client’s needs. Maya has had experience in working with dual diagnosis clients in community health, has worked in schools and counselling services. In addition to working for OCP Maya works as a school psychologist with experience in adolescent mental health and running social skills programs for children with autism spectrum disorders and intellectual disabilities.
Anna has experience in a range of settings and has worked in a variety
of community organisations. Such areas include, public mental health
agencies in vocational rehabilitation and counselling programs, in a
primary school setting providing individual counselling and assessment
to children aged five to 13 years of age, AOD counselling in community
agencies, crisis service phone work, crisis intervention and has also
been involved in research projects and publications on Family violence
and Violence against women. Anna has worked with individuals across
the lifespan including children, adults, and elderly. She has also co-
facilitated support groups in psychiatric hospital settings and has
completed a variety of training programs including peer to peer support
